Tour a neighborhood famous for the street food.

From 27 US dollars
Along Walmulwa Road in Thornpark neighborhood

Service Description

You have not experienced Lusaka without a matebeto lunch! Thornpark neighborhood is famous for open-air restaurants, where lines of braai stands are grilling meats and Lusaka residents flock to dozens of tables for eating nshima and local vegetable dishes. Don't be surprised to see fancy SUVs parked here. The area is safe, but the hustle can be intimidating for a first-time visitor. Jiranileo has trained local youth to take you to lunch, so that you have a friend who can help you navigate ordering and learn local eating practices. As you enjoy a lively eating experience, you are also supporting a new income stream for youth in Zambia's tourism sector.
